Egyptian Theatre Teen Session
Youth Theatre's intensive summer program for talented young actors provides opportunities for character development on and off the stage. All students are members of a performance company where they are cast in a production to be presented to family and friends at the end of the session. Performance Company choices are: Musical Theatre or Shakespeare. Classes take place at the Egyptian Theatre Studios across the street from The Egyptian Theatre. Final performances take place at Kingsbury Hall (University of Utah) on August 6 at 7 pm

Musical Theatre
Become a triple threat. Learn to sing, dance and act—all at the same time. In this Company, students will expand their performance skills and develop vocal and dance techniques as they practice scenes and musical numbers from hit shows!

Shakespeare
Use your acting skills to enter the magical world of Shakespeare. Students will learn how to analyze poetic texts and participate in character studies as they work with some of the most famous poetry and beloved characters in drama.

In this Company students will learn valuable techniques for stage acting; using their voices, bodies and minds to pursue objectives, overcome obstacles, create characters and scenes, and work as an ensemble.

Tuition, Registration Discounts & Policies
- Payment: Full payment by check or credit card is required in order to secure your space in the class.
- Cancellation Policy: If you cancel your registration any time after it has been processed, up to the first day of class, we will refund tuition less a $5 service charge. After the first day of class half-tuition will be refunded. After the second day of class no refund will be given.
- Financial Assistance: Youth Theatre at the U has a limited number of need-based scholarships. Our criteria are based on the guidelines established by the national free and reduced-price lunch program.
- Class Size: We do maintain and enforce enrollment limits. Limits vary based on the age-range of the students and the type of program.
- Class Cancellations: Youth Theatre reserves the right to cancel any class if enrollment is insufficient. Any tuition paid will be refunded in full.
