Red Carpet Awards Grace Park City’s Main Street!

Park City, UT. April 22, 2008— Park City’s Historic Egyptian Theatre proudly presents the Egyptian Theatre Gala 2008, a red-carpet fundraising event on June 14, 2008, hosted by Egyptian Theatre’s Artistic Director, Terence Goodman, and featuring local actor Marc Raymond, as live auctioneer. Tickets can be purchased by calling the Egyptian Theatre Box Office, 328 Main Street in Park City, by calling 435-649-9371 or visiting ParkCityShows.com.
            The black-tie evening features a pre-show silent auction with champagne, heavy h’orderves, and live music beginning at 6 PM across the street in the lower level of the Main Street Mall.  Guests will be escorted to the main theater for the presentation of the Annual Edwina Awards, musical performances showcasing past shows a preview of upcoming shows, and a live auction of unique big-ticket items. The evening will conclude with a 3rd-floor post-show dessert reception.
The Edwina Awards recognize notable actors, crew, designers and others who have contributed their talent and time to the Egyptian Theatre in the past year. Egyptian’s Artistic Director and host for the night, Terence Goodman said, “The goal of the evening is to honor our past through the Edwina Awards while giving guests a sneak peak at our upcoming productions, but most important is that we meet our fundraising goal to continue to bring quality professional theatre to Park City.”
            The event aims to raise a net of $75,000 for the Egyptian Theatre which relies heavily on contributions, sponsors and grants to remain a part of Park City’s arts community.
