Theatre Bugs One-Week Camps

Ages 5-7, Mon-Fri 9am-1pm, $160

Let your little one get bitten by the theatre bug in one (two, or all three) of these exciting week-long camps. They’ll “play” their way through daily rotations of drama, movement, music and stage crafts — all culminating in an end-of-week performance on the Egyptian Theatre stage.

Drama Queens & Kings One-Week Camps

Ages 8-12, Monday-Friday 9am-3pm, Tuition prices vary by camp $230-$250

Fun is the focus of these fast paced one-week camps.  Whether you're hamming it up in Improv, movin' and groovin' in Musical Theatre, acting up on Film, or playin' it up in Puppetry, fun will definitely be had by all!

Drama Queens & Kings Puppetry, June 22-26 Register

Puppet on! While creating a staged puppet show, experience the stages of puppetry: puppet and set creation, puppet wrangling, voice and general silliness. Instructed by professional puppeteers, this camp is great for all kids looking to be involved in a unique production experience.  Script for this week is a trickster tale: Coyote Dances with Raven.

How do filmmakers turn their ideas into a screenplay and then bring their vision to life with the production process? See what equipment is used by professional film crews and learn the techniques you need to make the best movies. Instructors’ films have won awards and showed at local and national festivals.

Drama Q & K Musical Theatre, June 22-26 Register

Students will learn music and choreography from a well-known musical to perform as an ensemble on the Egyptian Theatre stage at the end of week showcase! 

                     

Drama Queens & Kings Improv, Aug 3-7 Register

Learn the skills and techniques to help you perform your Improv best!  You'll have fun playing fast-paced theater games and using your imagination in group exercises, all while learning how to think quick on your feet.

                     

Two-Week Camps

Pre-Teen Two-Week Camp, June 8-19 Register

Ages 8-12, Monday-Friday 9am-3pm, $475

This dynamic camp experience gets the theatrical juices pumping. Days consist of group warm-ups, choice of two elective classes and choice of Drama or Musical Theatre production group where productions are created and rehearsed for final performance on the Egyptian Theatre stage the evening of June 19th.  (Elective options include: Stage Combat, Shakespeare, Audition Prep, Monologues, Musical Theatre Dance, Broadway Ensemble, Social Issues Theatre, Stage Crafts.)

 

                     

Space School Musical, July 6-17 Register

Open to students entering 6th-8th grade, Monday-Friday 9am-3pm, $450

Join us as we go full STEAM ahead! (STEAM is the concept of teaching at the intersection of science, technology, engineering, the arts, and mathematics.) Join us as we explore the galaxy and the secrets it holds! We will plan a mission to a planet, engineer materials for exploration, and solve the mystery of where all that music is coming from.  Ends with audience-immersive performance on last day.

Teen Two-Week Intensive, July 27-Aug 7 Register

Ages 12 & up Monday-Friday 9am-3pm, $500

Students will choose three classes in which to immerse themselves in daily over the course of this two-week camp.  However you want to stretch and grow, you pick the classes to help get you to where you want to be as an actor and performer.  Class options include: Stage Combat, Musical Theater Dance, Rock Ensemble, Contemporary & Classical Monologues, Slam Poetry, Social Issues Theatre, and more! Ends with showcase highlighting all students on final day.

Teen Camps are open to varying ages.  Please only sign your child up for camps open to their age.

Slam Poetry Camp, June 15-19 Register

Ages 14 & up, 9am-3pm, $225

Students will have the opportunity to explore and study the latest developments in poetry, including hip-hop, spoken word, and slam poetry. Youth will strengthen their unique writing and performance styles through guided workshops, seminar-style poetry courses, and performing for supportive audiences. Taught by seasoned and published poets, participants will also learn about local and national opportunities to participate in poetry events, develop their craft, and publish their work.

Teen Film Camp, July 13-17 Register

Ages 12 & up, Monday-Friday 9am-3pm, $250

Audition Workshop, July 20-22 Register

Ages 10-18, $175 for all three days

Learn the skills and techniques to put your best foot forward at any audition- theater, musical theater, and film. Will cover monologues, scene work, cold readings, headshots, resume writing, and more!

 

 

Improv Workshop, July 20-22 Register

Ages 8-12, 9am-3pm, $140

Three fun-filled days of theater games and skill-building to help you say the improv-essential, "Yes, and...", and think quick on your feet!
